Isla Fisher’s Got Her Own Movie!

Perth’s favourite export (no, not him, Isla Fisher!) has been given her very first lead role, and it looks to capitalise on her kooky, energetic shtick made famous in Wedding Crashers.

The film is called Confessions of a Shopaholic, and pretty much tells you everything you need to know about the plot.

Fisher hadn’t really capitalised on the success of Wedding Crashers (which earnt her an MTV movie award) in the last few years. Of course, she was busy having Borat‘s baby, so fair enough.

She’s had some strong supporting roles in The Lookout and Definitely, Maybe, but I’m just glad to see her headlining a film, even if it does look like The Devil Wears Prada-lite.

Confessions of a Shopaholic is directed by fellow Aussie P.J Hogan, and will be released next February.
