Burning up the blogosphere after a highly acclaimed run in a bunch of film festivals, is the Swedish vampire flick Let the Right One In. The film holds a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Everyone who has seen it is absolutely gushing with praise.
“Let The Right One In is a horror film of near universal appeal, and already has the feel of a classic about it.” – Anton Bitel @ Little White Lies
“Alfredson has helmed a classic-in-the-making, with a final set piece that uses visuals in a fresh, inventive, and startling combination that will be talked about for years to come.” – KJ Daughton @ Film Threat
Although there is no Australian release date yet, the film is guaranteed to be a sleeper smash when it opens in the U.S. next month.
After catching the latest trailer for it, I pray to God we get it soon.
I’m not even going to attempt to describe the movie, because I think the clip below speaks volumes.
Be warned though. It’s pretty spooky. And being a red-band trailer, there is a little bit of blood, a little bit of decapitating, and just a touch of someone on fire. But, is it just me, or does it look kind of sweet? Im psyched.
