The trailer for Quentin Tarantino‘s spectacularly hardcore Nazi-hunter flick Inglourious Basterds has debuted online, giving us something to look forward to in the post-Watchmen hellscape that is the rest of 2009.
Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organises a group of Jewish American soldiers known as “The Basterds” to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by brutally scalping Nazi’s. The Basterd’s later met a teenage girl in Nazi-occupied France who runs a cinema. Not sure how that last plot point is going to pan out, but all that scalping sounds awfully fun!

We’re extremely excited for Tarantino’s 7th film (6th if you count the Kill Bill‘s as one), and this trailer does nothing to subdue the anticipation.
Inglourious Basterds (yes, that’s the spelling, get used to it) opens August 20th. It will debut one month earlier at Cannes.
