Why WALL-E should have been nominated for Best Picture …

We’ve taken a great interest in the For Your Consideration posters released over the last couple of months. Each of them encourages Academy voters to nominate a film for a particular Oscar. We’ve brought to your attention the best FYC’s and the worst. However, with less than a week until the Academy Award winners are announced, I have found the single greatest ad yet.

This beautiful one-sheet pushes WALL-E for Best Original Screenplay with a short excerpt from the script. For any doubters out there who think WALL-E “doesn’t have enough dialogue to win Best Screenplay”, gaze your eyes on the brilliant nuances of that single excerpt.

This film should have been nominated for Best Picture, and I will never forgive the Academy for excluding it.

The Oscars will be held February 22nd.
