A bunch of new images from Guy Ritchie‘s Sherlock Holmes reboot has landed online, featuring stars Robert Downey Jr, Jude Law and Rachel McAdams in all their olde-time glory!
The film stars Robert Downey Jr as the bohemian, martial arts loving detective Sherlock Holmes, and Jude Law as his bourgeois, recently engaged sidekick Watson. The film, intended by Warner Bros to be the first in a franchise, begins with Watson preparing to part from Holmes and begin a new life. However, the temptation of “one last case” sets them off on a dangerous new investigation.
Rachel McAdams stars as con-artist Irene Adler, the only heroine from Arthur Conan Doyle’s original Sherlock Holmes’ series to claim the detective’s heart.
The great Mark Strong stars as the villainous, occult-dabbling villain Lord Blackwood.

As you can see, this isn’t your father’s Sherlock Holmes (and you can expect that phrase to be bandied about recklessly over the coming months. Sherlock Holmes will hit Australian cinemas Boxing Day.
