Well this is about as tenuous as a news story gets, but the first image of the very lovely Gemma Arterton on the set of Louis Letterier‘s Clash of the Titans has landed online.
Yep, there she is. Clash of the Titans also stars Sam Worthington. You can check out pics of him in action over here, and of course, over here.
In Clash of the Titans, Hades (Ralph Fiennes) threatens to seize power from Zeus (Liam Neeson) and unleash hell on Earth. It is up to Zeus’ son Perseus (Worthington) and his band of daring warriors to battle Hades’ fearsome beasts and demons, and accept his own power as a God.
Arterton will play the priestess Io, although it is unknown what her role in the film will be. According to Greek mythology (via Wikipedia, of course), Io was seduced by Zeus and then turned into a Heifer. Yikes. Well, Arterton is just pretty enough to make that kind of transformation still work.
Arterton played Strawberry Fields in Quantum of Solace, and also starred in St. Trinians and The Boat That Rocked.
