Would you like to see Megan Fox’s body?

Of course you would. What kind of question is that anyway? Film School Rejects has some scans from the upcoming Empire Magazine article on the Diablo Cody-penned flick Jennifer’s Body, starring the lovely Ms. Fox in all her bloody glory.

The film stars Amanda Seyfried as Needy, a plain-Jane high schooler who is best friends with nasty cheerleader Jennifer (Fox). When Jen becomes possessed by a demon, she goes on a cannibalistic rampage around her hometown of Minnesota, feasting upon the libidinous boys of the neighbourhood. It is up to Needy to kill Jennifer, as well as lead-singer Nikolai (Adam Brody) and his Satan-worshipping rock band who instigated the whole nasty business in the first place.

These are the first official images from the production, and they don’t really give too much away (apart from the fact that this flick will be mighty bloody).

Jennifer’s Body was written by Oscar-winning scribe Cody and has been produced by her Juno director Jason Reitman. The film will be directed by Karyn Kusama (Girlfight).

I’m a big fan of Juno, although Cody’s ultra-aware writing style can get frustrating pretty quickly. Hopefully she managed to reign in her pop-cultural zaniness this time around, much like she did in the last half of Juno.

The film began production March 2008, and will hit Australian screens October 29th, 2009. It opens in the U.S. mid-September.
