Downey Jr and Galifianakis set a Due Date

Robert Downey Jr. will team up with The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis and director Todd Philips for the road movie Due Date.

Downey Jr. will star as an expectant father who must race home for the birth of his child. Galifianakis will play his mismatched road trip buddy.

Philips previously directed Galifianakis in the surprise comedy blockbuster The Hangover. The film has so far grossed a gargantuan $345 million worldwide.

They will (obviously) follow up Due Date with a sequel to The Hangover.

Due Date hits cinemas June 2010, while The Hangover 2 will debut May, 2011. It is unknown which of Galifianakis’ body parts will be censored in each film.

Discuss: Galifiankis in a baby movie? Isn’t this kind of what happened in The Hangover? Ah well. Bring on more Downey Jr. comedies!

  1. Disappointed that Bradley Cooper is not mentioned to be in the sequel… Think he is probably a big draw card!
