Kunis and Portman dance off!

So Mila Kunis thinks she can dance? The actress is in discussions to star as a rival ballet dancer opposite Natalie Portman in Darren Aronofsky‘s supernatural thriller Black Swan.

Portman headlines the picture as a talented ballerina who suspects a dangerous rival (Kunis) might be a figment of her imagination. As they prepare for a big performance, stranges things start to happen. Spooky.

The picture begins shooting later this year in New York City.

Aronofsky’s last picture was the Academy Award nominated The Wrestler. Although he had been signed on to direct a Robocop reboot for MGM, that project is now in doubt. It is unknown whether or not MGM will wait for him to complete production of Black Swan or whether they will hire another director.

Discuss: I don’t know whether it’s the combination of the impossibly beautiful duo Kunis and Portman or just the excitement of seeing a new Aronofsky film, but I’ve got high hopes for Black Swan. I’m reminded of the great Dario Argento ballet-school horror flick Suspiria. What are your thoughts?
