OK, we fibbed a little. Mickey Rourke isn’t so much driving a stake through Sylvester Stallone‘s back as he is calmly tattooing it. In fact, Stallone looks like he’s kind of enjoying it. The shot comes from their upcoming action smorgasbord The Expendables.
The film, written and directed by Sly, features an unstoppable cast of straight-to-video heroes such as Dolph Lundgren, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Eric Roberts and Danny Trejo. It will tell the story of an “expendable” team who are sent to overthrow a ruthless South American dictator.
In the above picture, we can see Rourke’s arms dealer/part-time tattooist Tool inscribing the below symbol on Stallone’s character Barney Ross.
The Expendables is set for a release in the U.S. next April.
Discuss: Rourke’s playing a guy named Tool? Stallone’s character is called Barney? This really is going to be the greatest film ever, isn’t it?
