Streep, Baldwin and Martin in a love threesome?

Nancy Meyers has brought together the previously untested comedy triumvirate of Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin to star in her latest romantic comedy It’s Complicated.

Normally we wouldn’t get excited about the latest Meyers film, but it’s impossible to deny that this cast doesn’t have us interested.

Also, I might be a closet fan of Something’s Gotta Give.

So it’s pretty standard romantic comedy fare here, with Streep and Baldwin playing a divorced couple who reunite for a steamy affair. Martin is the goofy cog that threatens to drag Streep away from Baldwin’s clutches.

And although the trailer isn’t that promising, I would pay to see these three butt heads any day.

It’s Complicated opens in the U.S. on Christmas Day. An Australian release should follow soon after.
