Go Team Jacob! New trailer for The Twilight Saga’s New Moon!

source: traileraddict.com

A brand new trailer for The Twilight Saga’s New Moon has debuted online. Pouting Bella? Check. Shirtless were-men? Check. Terrible special effects, mind numbing dialogue and an over-inflated sense of self-worth? Check check check.

I know that I’m harsh on Twilight. Maybe a little unfairly so. Every time I hear someone rave about Stephanie Meyer’s best-selling book series or tell me how much they love Catherine Hardwicke‘s 2008 film, I briefly consider giving this whole Twilight craze another chance.

But then I see footage from the films, and well … look, maybe you should just watch it for yourself.

You know what? I’m going to turn a new leaf and list the things I LIKED about this trailer.

1. The Interview with Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black)

For some reason, this trailer is intercut with an on-set interview with the shirtless wolfman himself. He’s charming and seems like a nice enough guy. I guess that makes me part of Team Jacob?

2. Very Little Edward Cullen!

Robert Pattinson must have finally been ensnared by his monster coif of hair, because he barely even appears in this trailer! Go Team Jacob!

3. Kristen Stewart

I’ll watch Kristen Stewart do anything. Even if it’s fall unconvincingly off a motorcycle.

See! I can be a positive guy!

But seriously, they’re still just speeding up the film to make it look as if people are actually moving really quickly they think this is the best way to portray superhuman strength I mean you’ve got to be kidding me and I mean are we honestly supposed to believe that four shirtless dudes just wandering around is actually meant to be intimidating they might as well be a dance troupe who do the hell they think…..(rambling continues for interminable amount of time).

The Twilight Saga’s New Moon opens November 19th, 2009. Chris Weitz has taken over directorial duties from Hardwicke.

  1. 1. the movie does exactly what its supposed to do..entertain 2. it obviously is marketed toward a certain demographic which im sure you arent within3. i think youre just jealous that you either dont look as good with your shirt off, or that you cant pull off the swooney-emo-pale-faced-bouffant look that will have young women drop at your feet 😉

  2. I was okay with the trailer right up until Hulk – I mean Jacob – pulled the "you wouldn't like me when I was angry" line. I might be tempted to see this on the weight of Taylor does seem to be pretty nice (and pretty hot); but I might need some sort of brain bleach after 😛

  3. Re: mumma movie mavinI suppose I shouldn't make fun of Pattinson; my hair has been known to bulge into a bouffant at times, but it certainly hasn't had the pulling powers that Edward Cullen seems to possess.Perhaps it is because his head of hair is actually just a well trained badger lying very still. Interesting theory, no?

  4. Would rather watch this than the new Tarentino filmThe man is overrated

  5. I agree about the Tarantino film…not my cup of tea.Funny how ready people are to bag out gratuitous bare chested men and rippling abs…no one seems to make an issue out to all the gratuitous boobies that are so often in movies now!I'm really looking forward to seeing New Moon. I've read all the books…3 times back to back, and I think it's nice to see these characters come alive on screen. I don;t go to the movies to have to think hard or be educated – I'm just looking to be entertained and, in this case, to have a visual interpretation of the books I enjoy reading. I can't wait to see what they do with Eclipse!

  6. 'you wouldnt like to see me when i was angry'GAH!!! patriotic diatribe. hattttttttteeeeeeeeee
