The Twilight Saga’s New Moon slipped to second place in its third week of release with $2.5 million. It has already grossed $30.8 million locally.

Where the Wild Things Are opened at third place, while 2012 and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs kept new entrants Zombieland and The Informant out of the top five.

Further down the charts, Mao’s Last Dancer keeps pulling in money at 13th place. After 10 weeks of release, it is the oldest film in the top 20. It has so far grossed $14 million, making it the highest grossing Australian film of the year.
