The teaser poster and first official images from Sex and the City 2 have debuted online. They’re not too exciting, although I’m sure fans are just pleased to see the foursome together again.
It’s nice to see that the marketing team behind the film has decided to continue the Carrie-pun trend for their tagline. You might remember that the first film’s poster encouraged viewers to ‘Get Carried Away’.
Little is known about the plot of the new film, except that it will feature cameos from Penelope Cruz, Miley Cyrus, Liza Minnelli and Barbra Streisand.
Sex and the City 2, directed by Michael Patrick King, stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristen Davis and Cynthia Nixon. It is set to hit cinemas late May 2010.
Discuss: Are you happy to see the ladies reunite, or was one film enough?
For me, one movie was enough. I saw Carrie and Big (John) got married and that was the happy ending that I wanted.
Oh one movie is enough. The poster is dreadful and the mention of Miley Cyrus in it will guarantee me to not see it. The world has moved on from SATC.
Except that marriage is the beginning of a relationship's second chapter… For me, the SATC series was far more interesting after the single gals hooked up and started married life. I'm looking forward to seeing how Carrie copes with its challenges.Realistically, if there are still interesting stories they can tell us, the characters remain endearing and I'd be happy to share their experiences. The mass market probably doesn't feel the same way, but I'd say the average fan is always ready to welcome the girls back, so long as the story still holds value and excitement.
