Quickflix Charts – The top rentals for January

Alright gang; here are the top 25 DVD rentals for the month of January, as Queued up by you.

Congratulations to Terminator: Salvation for being the most rented title of January 2010, and as a result, the most rented film of the year so far! It trumped new releases District 9, The Ugly Truth, The Taking of Pelham 123 and Inglourious Basterds to take the top spot. Last month’s victor, Angels and Demons, dropped to third place.

Pixar’s Up impressively slipped into seventh place, despite having only been available for two thirds of the month. A trio of comedies, Year One, The Proposal and The Hangover, filled out the remainder of the top 10.

Vampire fever remains in full swing, with Twilight placing 12th for the month; impressive as it nears the one-year anniversary of its DVD release date. With New Moon arriving on DVD in April, and the third installment of the franchise, Eclipse, arriving in cinemas only a couple months later, expect the franchise to dominate the charts for another 12 months.

Discuss: What are your thoughts? What was the best film you saw on DVD this month?
