You’ve seen the poster. Now watch the trailer! Here is your first “look” at David Fincher‘s The Social Network, or as it will now and forever be known, ‘The Facebook Movie’.
“Trailer” might be a generous designation for what this clip really is; it’s more of an audio clip with subtle visual aids. Sony/Columbia should have gone all out and simply hired Garrison Keillor to provide the voice for controversial Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, rather than the nasally Jesse Eisenberg.

All jokes aside, it feels as if Sony/Columbia might be gearing up for a Social Network Oscar push. From the sounds of it, the tone of the film might be more serious than that of the frothy book (Ben Mezrich’s The Accidental Billionaires) upon which screenwriter Aaron Sorkin based his script.
The Social Network will hit Australian cinemas November 25, 2010. Joining Eisenberg for this old-timey radio play will be Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and Rashida Jones.
Discuss: Cera or Eisenberg. By year’s end, who will be the bigger star?
