The casting for Batman 3 begins!

It’s been a while since we wrote about the third instalment of Christopher Nolan‘s Batman trilogy (mainly because most “reports” were about Cher being cast as Catwoman). But we finally have legitimate news regarding Nolan’s highly anticipated sequel to The Dark Knight.

According to Deadline, Tom Hardy has been cast in a leading role in the as-yet untitled Batman film. Although it is unknown which character he will play, Deadline speculate that he will take on the role of villain.

Hardy recently starred as The Forger in Nolan’s Inception.
