New Judd Apatow movie given apocalyptic release date

Mark your calendars! Deadline has revealed the release date for the next film to be written, produced and directed by Judd Apatow: June 1, 2012.

This means Apatow will be given an opportunity to return to the heights of his early comedies The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up following the financial disappointment of his still-funny-but-tonally-inconsistent Funny People mere months before the presumed end of the world.

Unfortunately, a release date is all we have in regards to details of Apatow’s latest project. So, let the speculation begin!
