>Teaser Debut: Transformers: Dark of the Moon

>The teaser trailer for Michael Bay‘s highly-anticipated (probably) third instalment in the Transformers saga has arrived online. And it ain’t bad!

Although little is known about Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the teaser suggests it’ll have to do with … wait for it … the dark side of the moon. More specifically, it presents us with a scenario in which Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin discover a Transformer chilling on the moon!

Look, we all like to make fun of Michael Bay (particularly his hilariously inept second Transformers film), but as far as teasers go, this one is a corker. If this wasn’t a Transformers movie, the idea of a sci-fi flick inventing some conspiracies involving the Apollo 11 moon landing is rather enticing.

I am aware however that these newly-raised expectations will likely be dashed once we actually see the film.

Check out the trailer for yourself and share your thoughts below! (You can watch it in HD over at Apple.)

Transformers: Dark of the Moon (in 3D!) is directed by Michael Bay (who didn’t like Transformers 2), and stars Shia LaBeouf (who hated Transformers 2). It will not feature Megan Fox or the racist robot twins. It arrives in Australian cinemas July 1, 2011.

Discuss: Your excitement level is …. what?

  1. >My excitement level is zero. The only reason I looked twice is because I'm convinced there is a word missing from this film's sub-title.

  2. I love Transformer, I watched the 80’s cartoons, I read the comics and I loved the original movie, with that said, I’m realistic to the constrains of the movie making and go in open minded.
