According to the L.A. Times, Sacha Gervasi (Anvil! The Story of Anvil) is in discussions with executives at Ivan Reitman’s Montecito Pictures to direct the film adaptation of one chapter from Stephen Rebello’s now twenty-year-old book “Alfred Hitchcock and the making of Psycho”.

The scripted film will focus on Hitchcock’s seminal film Psycho and how it paved the way for other low-budget horror films. If Anvil! The Story of Anvil is anything to go by, Gervasi’s directorial touch ought to imbue it with a wry and endearing tone (possibly at odds with the subject matter?).

No date has been set yet and it is just a possibility at this stage, so we will keep you informed as and when updates roll in.
