>Julian Assange biopic in the works

>The biography of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is to be turned into a feature film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Aussie reporter Andrew Fowler’s upcoming book on Assange – titled The Most Dangerous Man in the World – has been optioned by producers Barry Josephson and Michelle Krumm.

The biography begins with Assange’s childhood – as many biographies do – and leads up to the founding of his incendiary website WikiLeaks, which released unto the public secret government documents.

No writer is yet attached to adapt The Most Dangerous Man in the World, but it’s safe to assume that this project will be a high priority for all involved. They’ll have to move quick though, as Assange’s own autobiography – which he reluctantly agreed to write in order to pay off his legal fees for his sexual offense accusations – is also on the way.

So start casting!

Discuss: Who could play Mr. Assange? Is Bill Hader free?

  1. >They keep making these biopics of people before their stories are finished! We still don't know what is going to happen to Assange…

  2. >Bill Hader? You didn't mean Bill Maher did you?
