Trailer Debut: Hop

The trailer for Hop, the new film from Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me), has debuted online. It features Russell Brand as an animated rabbit who prepares to take on the throne of Easter Bunny.

O.K., the fact that this is directed by Alvin and the Chipmunks‘ helmer Tim Hill is an ominous sign. That being said, this is a pretty charming teaser for what could be a very sweet family film.

I’m a big fan of Russell Brand, and although his voice seems a little out of place exiting the mouth of a cute little bunny, it’s always fun to hear him share his playful, impish side.
