Robin McLeavy out; Mary Elizabeth Winsead in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter

Earlier this week it was reported that The Loved Ones’ star Robin McLeavy had been cast in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, as Honest Abe’s wife Mary Todd. Now, The Hollywood Reporter is claiming Mary Elizabeth Winstead has nabbed the role instead.

THR had previously said that it was down to McLeavy and Winstead for the part, but Latino Review jumped the gun by claiming Australia’s own McLeavy scored the role.

Winstead, who last appeared as Ramona Flowers in Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, will star alongside Benjamin Walker (Abe), Dominic Cooper (Henry Sturges, Abe’s mentor) and Anthony Mackie (Abe’s BFF).

Discuss: Although we’re a little disappointed McLeavy missed out on the role, we’re big fans of Winstead. Where do you stand?
