Lionsgate has revealed two more fresh-faced actors set to join the cast of The Hunger Games. Ian Nelson and Kalia Prescott will appear as Tribute Boy and Tribute Girl from District 3. Though unnamed, the pair come from the electronics district and their skills come in handy during the Games.
Last week also saw the casting of newcomer Willow Shields as Primrose (Prim), younger sister of Katniss. It is a small but vital role that propels Katniss into the Games, and from the looks of it, the casting is spot on.
Paula Malcomson, from TV’s Caprica and Sons of Anarchy, has been cast as the mother of Katniss and Prim. Since losing her husband in a mining accident she has lived in fear of losing her daughters to The Hunger Games. Her experience in healing and medicine also prepares and helps Katniss in the Games.
The most exciting casting rumour currently circling the film is that John C. Reilly might be up for the pivotal role of Haymitch, the drunkard District 12 mentor who was also the only District 12 tribute to have won the Hunger Games. Reilly’s reps deny he has been offered the part, but Vulture insist he is eager to score the role.

These actors join Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth in the Gary Ross directed flick.
