Teaser Debut: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Green Band)

Earlier in the week we featured the leaked Red Band trailer for David Fincher’s remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. After pulling it from the internet, Sony has released an official Green Band look at the “feel bad” movie of the year. Check it out below the new international poster!

The few NSFW scenes from the other teaser have been removed, but that wonderful tagline and the killer version of Immigrant Song by Trent Reznor and Karen O remains.

Have a peek and share your thoughts below!

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo stars Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig, and arrives in Australian cinemas on January 12, 2012 (so ignore the date written across Rooney’s chest above).

Discuss: Are you liking the look of this remake?

  1. Looks like a shot-for-shot remake of the original Swedish film. I thoroughly enjoyed the original trilogy in its native language and still fail to see the point (apart from financial) of remaking in English. Is it really that difficult to read subtitles? On top of “Let me in”, the unneccessary (and not as good as the original) remake of “Let the right one in”, are we going to see all mildly successful foreign language films get the Hollywood treatment 1-2 years after release. Maybe some of my favourite foreign films will also have their heart and soul ripped out for English-speaking audiences like the Russian film “Night Watch” or “Run Lola Run” or heaven forbid “Amelie”….

  2. I have to agree with Ro D. Unless you’re going to add something to these films (Yojimbo and A Fistful of Dollars is one of the more successful ones that comes to mind) it does seem rather pointless to remake them.

  3. no longer there – please amend your notes!!!
