The feature trailer for Rupert Wyatt‘s Rise of the Planet of the Apes has debuted online, and it gives us a glimpse at how to avoid any chimp-revolutions in real life (basically, don’t let a sleepy-eyed James Franco anywhere near those animals).
A prequel to the 1968 classic Planet of the Apes, Rise stars Franco as a young scientist who tries to advance the intelligence of apes, which is all well and good, until his primary subject Caesar (a mo-capped Andy Serkis) wages war against humanity. Freida Pinto and John Lithgow star as humans.

Expert anti-ape sentiments to escalate when it hits Australian cinemas August 4.
Discuss: The trailer for this is mighty appealing, but does it give away too much?
Interesting. Maybe they will remake “Planet of the Apes” as a follow-on.
