Last week it was revealed that screenwriter Craig Mazin had been hired to pen the third instalment of the box-office busting Hangover series. Director Todd Phillips had promised a ‘deadly serious’ plot that didn’t stick to the layout of the first two films, and star Zach Galifianakis has revealed more details in his Rolling Stone cover story.
According to Rolling Stone, “the plot ditches the format of the first two and focuses on his character escaping from a mental institution with help from the wolf pack”.
Galifianakis seemed none too happy that he was already being harassed to return to the series: “I’m getting fricking phone calls already.”
He can take some solace in Mazin’s intended finale:
““I think the third movie ends with Doug [Justin Bartha] staring at a row of crosses in a graveyard. It’s everyone – his wife, his family is dead, everybody from the first movie is dead. Somebody shows up and tells him his dog is dead.”
Why fix something if it ain’t broke!!! the 1st two were hilarious. Don’t change a thing!!
