Nolan and Fincher talk Malick’s The Tree of Life

Fox Searchlight has recruited Christopher Nolan and David Fincher to help promote Terrence Malick’s Cannes Palme d’Or winner The Tree of Life.

The film (which opened in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago) is an ambitious project about … everything, apparently. It’s probably not been the easiest sell, despite the star-power of Brad Pitt and Sean Penn. Thus, you can now check out fanboy favourites Nolan and Fincher talking up the film and Malick’s directorial approach.

Of course, the original script had them describing the film as ‘Inception meets The Social Network‘. Hopefully this approach works just as well.

The Tree of Life hits Australian cinemas June 30, 2011.

Discuss: Hypothetical! Which director would you take the advice of every time, if they came out and stumped for movies?
