A biopic on the life of Twilight Zone creator and host Rod Serling is in the works, Deadline reports.
The life rights have been purchased by Andrew Meieran’s Bureau of Moving Pictures, and Oliver Stone’s Wall Street co-writer Stanley Weiser will pen the script.
It is unknown which chapters of Serling’s life the film will be detail, but Meieran and Weiser will certainly have plenty to choose from. Serling was a paratrooper and member of a demolition squad during World War 2 before heading into the world of radio and television, and eventually creating iconic TV show The Twilight Zone. He also co-wrote the script for 1968’s Planet of the Apes. Serling died in 1975 at the age of 50.
