Teaser Debut: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy

Gary Oldman. Colin Firth. Mark Strong. Tom Hardy. Benedict Cumberbatch. Toby Jones. John Hurt. Independently, these actors offer up enough of a reason to see any movie. United, they propel a film into “must see right now” territory. Good news for us then that this batch of obscenely talented actors have all joined forces for the new thriller Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

Based on John le Carré’s novel of the same name, it stars Oldman as George Smiley, an intelligence officer for MI6 recruited to uncover a Russian mole within the organisation.

Looking for more reasons to get excited? The film has been directed by Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In) and written by Peter Morgan (The Queen).

Check out the rather thrilling international teaser trailer below!

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy arrives in Australian cinemas January 19, 2012.

Discuss: Enticing, no?

  1. Yes! Absolutely! Gary Oldman is one of the most under-rated actors around. The rest of the cast have some big names attached…..a must-see movie later next year.
