Chris Hemsworth teams up with Ron Howard for Rush

Thor himself, Chris Hemsworth, is in talks to star in Ron Howard‘s upcoming film Rush.

According to Deadline, the movie tells the story of Formula One driver James Hunt and his rival Niki Lauda, who battled to dominate the FI circuit in the 1970s. Hemsworth would play Hunt.

The script has been penned by Peter Morgan, who previously adapted his own stage play Frost/Nixon into a film for Howard.

If Hemsworth signs on, he will shoot the film following the completion of Snow White and The Huntsman and The Avengers and before working on Thor 2. Looks like he might have an Oscar contender amidst all those blockbusters…
