Laurence Fishburne to play Perry White in Man of Steel

Laurence Fishburne is joining the cast of Zack Snyder‘s recently delayed Superman flick Man of Steel.

According to EW, Fishburne will play Perry White, editor-in-chief of the newspaper Daily Planet where Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) both work.

Man of Steel, produced by Christopher Nolan, also stars Michael Shannon as General Zod. It arrives in cinemas June 2013.
