Beetlejuice 2 in the works?

OK, which one of you said “Betelgeuse” three times?!

According to Deadline, there is a good chance a sequel to Tim Burton‘s much loved 1988 feature Beetlejuice could soon be haunting cinemas.

Seth Grahame-Smith (author of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies as well as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter) and his producing partner David Katzenberg have signed a first-look deal at Warner Bros. Although it is yet to be confirmed, one of the first projects is expected to be a Beetlejuice sequel.

It is believed Smith scored the WB deal after writing the script for Burton’s new film Dark Shadows.

The Deadline report reiterates that the film will not be a remake, but rather a sequel set after the events of the original film.

Discuss: The question is, do you want another Beetlejuice? Who could possibly take on the role made famous by Michael Keaton?

  1. As long as Winoma steals the show, we want a sequel!!

  2. of course we want a sequel (doesnt matter whose in it), as long as it sticks to fundamentals of first movie but does not copy but compliments with a new adventure. (continuation of first as stated in review). the first betelgeuse was one of my alltime favourite movies still watched today

  3. As long as they stick to the story, Michael Keaton has to be in it as Beetlejuice, he made the last movie what it was, any other actors or characters can be different. It would be beneficial to have Winona Ryder as well as Geena Davies, Michael Keaton and Geoffery Rush as the Father to Winona and Husband to Geena… Can’t wait; original Beetlejuice movie is one of my favorites I watch it religiously, at least once a Month, I would like to find a good copy on Blu-Ray Disc, if anyone knows where I can get a copy from if they could just Twitter/Facebook me; (Dannii311281) Thanx…. GO BEETLEJUICE SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
