Does anyone remember Chris Tucker? The Hollywood Reporter confirms the motor mouthed comedian, who hasn’t acted in four years, is considering returning to the big screen in David O. Russell’s The Silver Linings Playbook.
Tucker was last seen as Detective Carter in Rush Hour 3 opposite Jackie Chan, and considering his rather limited film work one would have to question whether a comeback was entirely necessary.
Playbook, an adaptation of the novel by Matthew Quick, is set to star Bradley Cooper as a high school teacher wanting to reconcile with his wife after recently being released from a mental institution. There’s no word yet on what role Tucker would play in this Weinstein Company picture that is due to begin production in the coming months.
Variety also reports Tucker is considering a key role in the 20th Century Fox comedy Neighbourhood Watch, starring Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn and Jonah Hill.
