First look at the cast of Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows

Entertainment Weekly has released the very first image from Tim Burton‘s upcoming adaptation of the cult 1960s vampire soap opera Dark Shadows.

No, not that one. This one:

From left to right, your cast includes Helena Bonham Carter as Dr. Julia Hoffman, Chloe Grace Moretz as Carolyn Stoddard, Eva Green as Angelique Bouchard, Gulliver McGrath as David Collins, Australia’s own Bella Heathcote as Vitoria Winters, Johnny Depp as Barnabas, Ray Shirley as Mrs. Johnson, Jackie Earle Haley as Willie Loomis, Jonny Lee Miller as Roger Collins, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Elizabeth Collins Stoddard.

Dark Shadows ran from 1966 to 1971. It told the story of the Collins family, whose ancestry is revealed to be linked to a vampire curse. Head over to EW for the official plot synopsis.

Screenwriter John August turned in a version of the script back in 2009, when the film was set to shoot in September 2010. Production was delayed by a year, and in that time Pride and Prejudice and Zombie‘s Seth Grahame-Smith tried his hand at the screenplay.

Discuss: Yes yes, another Burton film with Depp and Bonham Carter. Still, the cast is mighty impressive (including Moretz, Green, Heathcote and Haley).
