Proving that you can’t keep a good dog down, Film Ink reports that Aussie family flick Red Dog has become the 10th highest grossing Australian film of all time.
Directed by Kriv Stenders and starring the ultra talented Koko as Red Dog, the film sits comfortably next to the likes of Crocodile Dundee and Babe.
Red Dog has so far brought in $17 million at the local box office and nabs the number 10 spot from Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, which had held the position with a respectable $16.45 million.
It’s an amazing feat for this low budget independent film to make the list, having touched many Australians’ hearts since its August 4 national release.
The top 10 films in order are Crocodile Dundee, Australia, Babe, Happy Feet, Moulin Rouge, Crocodile Dundee 2, Strictly Ballroom, The Dish, The Man From Snowy River and now Red Dog.
