The trailer for Katherine Heigl’s latest romantic comedy, The Bounty Hunter One for the Money, has been released and sees Heigl don a brunette hairdo, learn to shoot a gun and talk in a New Jersey accent.
Based on the bestselling series by Janet Evanovich, Heigl plays Stephanie Plum, the recently divorced, recently fired, down on her luck character whose options are either find another husband or find a new career.
Plum chooses a career and the trailer shows the wacky adventures she encounters when she becomes a recovery agent in bail bonds and her first assignment is to bring in her ex, Morelli (Jason O’Mara).
Cue sexual tension, witty quips between the two and random handcuffing to shower rods and you have what appears to be The Bounty Hunter 2.0. Luckily for One for the Money, it has a built in fan base thanks to Evanovich’s novel.
