Brand new high-resolution photos from Joss Whedon’s Marvel team-up flick The Avengers have landed online (courtesy of Superhero Hype). They feature our heroes doing all sorts of heroic things (and, in one not-so-heroic instance, staring at the sky with a look of puzzlement).
We also get a good look at Tom Hiddleston‘s villainous Loki, who will be the film’s primary antagonist.
The Avengers comprise of Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) and SHIELD Agents Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) and Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg). The film arrives in cinemas May 2012.

ooooohhhhh yeah .. now this film i have been patiently waited for some 20 + years to be made, i grew up reading about the * Avengers * totally enthralled by the story lines and battles this lot got into all the time. even watched a goodly portion of the early cartoon / animated series as well. so i say bring it on im waiting, waiting, waiting….lol
