Christopher Nolan and Michael Bay wanted for The Twilight Zone

Warner Brothers has Christopher Nolan, Michael Bay,  Alfonso CuaronDavid Yates and Rupert Wyatt in their sights to enter The Twilight Zone, Variety reports.

The studio is moving forward with the reboot of the much-loved television series, which ran from 1959 to 1964. In 1983, The Twilight Zone got the big screen treatment, in which four filmmakers – Joe Dante, John Landis, George Miller and Steven Spielberg – each directed a segment of the film. This doesn’t look to be the case with the upcoming film, with reports that Warner Brothers is seeking just one director to helm one major storyline.

While Nolan and Bay are the big names leading the pack, neither seems ready to jump into another franchise, as Nolan finishes the Bat-trilogy and Bay looks to move on from Transformers.

Leonardo DiCaprio is slated to produce, while the script has gone through several rewrites, the most recent by Jason Rothenberg’s pen.

Discuss: Which of these directors would best suit TTZ?
