Drive inspires man to throw hot-dog at Tiger Woods

Nicolas Winding Refn’s Drive has been responsible for some very weird news stories this week. The man who throw a hot-dog at Tiger Woods at a South Bay golf course on Tuesday has revealed he was motivated by Ryan Gosling‘s character in the film.

Sausage-launcher Brandon Kelly revealed his bizarre motivations to The Press Democrat:

“I threw the hot dog toward Tiger Woods because I was inspired by the movie Drive. As soon as the movie ended, I thought to myself, ‘I have to do something courageous and epic. I have to throw a hot dog on the green in front of Tiger.’”

Of course, if people stay to the end of the credits of Drive, they will see a scene in which Gosling’s unnamed driver hurls a burrito at Albert Brooks. Really! (Not really.)

Discuss: Is there anything more courageous than hurling a hot-dog?
