The Kids Are All Right being adapted for TV

HBO wants to bring Lisa Cholodenko‘s Best Picture nominated dramedy The Kids Are All Right to TV screens.

According to Deadline, a deal has been made for Cholodenko to write a pilot episode for the potential hour-long series.

Although the show would “continue the adventures of the five main characters” – specifically married couple Nic (Annette Bening) and Jules (Julianne Moore), their children Laser (Josh Hutcherson) and Joni (Mia Wasikowska) and the kids’ biological father Paul (Mark Ruffalo) – it is unknown if the film’s cast will be invited to reprise their roles.

Discuss: Does the tale of The Kids Are All Right befit a TV series?
