Steve McQueen‘s controversial Shame has been one of the most talked about films of the festival circuit, and will likely remain a conversation starter until it belatedly arrives in Australian cinemas next February.
Starring Michael Fassbender as a sex-addict and Carey Mulligan as his troubled sister, the picture has generated chatter thanks to its explicit sex sequences and full-frontal turns from both stars.
Although the trailer spares us of any nudity (gee, thanks), it’s rife with moody atmospherics, heavy breathing, saucy pick-up lines and coital cutaways.
