Zombieland: the TV show!

Wondering whatever happened to that long-gestating sequel to Zombieland? Turns out, the producers and original writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick have been spending their time setting up a half-hour TV version instead.

According to Vulture, talks are progressing nicely with Fox Broadcasting and Sony Pictures Television, and we could see the series as early as the 2012-2013 season.

No doubt the success of The Walking Dead is encouraging studios to bring more zombies to the small screen.

Producer Gavin Polone told Vulture that Zombieland was originally conceived as a TV show back in 2005. Should the series get picked up, consider Zombieland 2 dead in the water.
