Anne Hathaway will join Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe in Tom Hooper’s upcoming musical adaptation of Les Misérables, Deadline reports.
Hathaway – who showed off her singing skills (as well as her Rachel Berry-esque theater-geek enthusiasm) when she hosted the Oscars earlier this year – will play Fantine, opposite Jackman’s Jean Valjean and Crowe’s Inspector Javert.
Les Misérables will be Hooper’s first film since picking up his Best Director Oscar for The King’s Speech.
A release date has been set for December 7, 2012.
