Joseph Gordon-Levitt is the latest actor to raise his hand to join Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, Variety reports.
Tarantino’s upcoming film already has Jamie Foxx signed on for the eponymous lead role; a slave who is freed by Christoph Waltz’s German dentist tuned bounty hunter. The pair team up to find Django’s wife Broomhilda, rumoured to be played by Kerry Washington.
Leonardo Di Caprio is also slated to star as their opponent, Calvin Candie, and Kurt Russell is rumoured to play his right hand man, Ace Woody. Samuel L. Jackson will also appear in this already star-studded film.
There is no confirmation on what role JoGo would take, though he apparently has some scheduling problems to overcome before he can sign on. Primarily his promotional duties for the film Premium Rush were thought to have prevented him from joining Tarantino’s film, however that picture’s release has been pushed back to August 2012.
