Buscemi and Wilde joining Carell and Carrey in magician movie?

Gorgeous heartthrob Steve Buscemi and acclaimed character actor Olivia Wilde might join Steve Carell and Jim Carrey in their new ‘duelling magicians’ comedy Burt Wonderstone.

Carell will star as the eponymous Las Vegas magician who must defeat a rival magic-maker (Carrey) following the death of his assistant.

According to Deadline, studio New Line wants Buscemi to sign on as Burt’s doomed partner.

Wilde is reportedly in negotiations to play the female lead, though Judy Greer and Sarah Silverman could nab the role if she passes.

Oscar nominee Jason Reitman – of Up in the Air and Juno fame – penned the most recent version of the script, while 30 Rock veteran Don Scardino is set to direct.
