Let there be remakes! An American producer has reportedly purchased the rights to the 2001 Australian comedy The Man Who Sued God, with the intention of developing it as a vehicle for a major U.S. star.
According to The Australian, Will Smith could be that star. However, the identity of the buyer – thought to be Sam Feuer – is not yet confirmed, so take rumours of Smith’s involvement with a grain of salt.
Billy Connolly and Judy Davis starred in Mark Joffe‘s original God, which grossed a healthy $8.5 million at the box office back in the day.
