Poster Debut: Snow White and the Huntsman

Snow White and the Huntsman gets a fancy new banner in the lead up to a trailer release. The Rupert Sanders directed adaptation of the classic story stars Kristen Stewart as White, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen.

While in competition with the Tarsem Singh directed Mirror, Mirror, the two films are clearly polar opposites. Where Mirror, Mirror goes for the bright colours and childlike approach, Snow White and the Huntsman has branded itself as the more ‘adult’ and ‘badass’ retelling (though the new banner speaks otherwise).

The trailer will be the true judge of just how far Sanders is willing to explore his edgy Snow White, but the banner shows what one could expect to see in a made for Syfy television movie, and what we have already seen in this year’s Red Riding Hood. Hey, at least Chris Hemsworth looks like he knows what he’s doing!
