Warner Bros gets to work on Lego movie

Warner Bros has officially given the green light to a film based on the Lego toyline, Variety reports.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are set to helm the pic alongside Robot Chicken‘s Chris McKay.

The flick will be a live-action/cartoon hybrid, with local animation house Animal Logic (Legend of the Guardians) doing much of the legwork.

As for details on the project – that’s all we’ve got! More will be revealed at a press conference next week, though Lord described the project last year as follows:

“Something like if Michael Bay kidnapped Henry Selick to make a movie for him.”
