Australia’s Wish You Were Here headed to Sundance

Following in the tradition of Animal Kingdom and Mad Bastards before it, Aussie film Wish You Were Here has been selected to screen at 2012’s Sundance Film Festival.

The picture – starring Joel Edgerton, Teresa Palmer, Felicity Price and Anthony Starr – will open the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.

Here’s the picture’s official synopsis:

“Four friends embark on a carefree holiday, but only three return home. Who knows what happened on that fateful night?”

UPDATE: The trailer has now debuted online.

Director Kieran Darcy-Smith and Edgerton are part of the Blue-Tongue Films collective that also produced Kingdom, The Square and Hesher.
